Itinerary
Our class explored six different cities: Shanghai, Wuzhen, Nanjing, Xi'an, Yanan, Beijing. We were able to focus on the history, culture, and customs on an intricate and sophisticated level.
Shanghai and WuzhenOur first arrival was to Shanghai, China. In this city we ventured through the Yu Garden, Old Town Temple, the site of the First Congress of Chinese Communist Party, Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Residence of Madame Sun/Song Qingling, visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, and the Shanghai Museum. Wuzhen, other wise known as the "Venice of the East" was our second city we explored.

Nanjing and Xi'anOur third city traveled to was Nanjing. Here we visited the Presidential Palace, memorial museum of the Nanjing Massacre, saw Dr. Sun Yat-sen's mausoleum, Mailing Residence, and an old examination site. In Xi'an we got to visit the Terracotta Warriors, The Grand Mosque, saw a music and dance show portrayed from the Tang Dynasty, saw the Big Goose Temple, and interacted with university students for a class.

Yanan and BeijingOur fifth city we went to was Yanan. We visited the Yanan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, old site of Wangjiaping, the old site of Zaoyuan, Huangdi ling. Our final destination was to Beijing. We went to Tianmen Square, Forbidden City, Coal Hill Park, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall, Summer Palace, site of the 2008 Olympic games, and finished it off with a Chinese acrobatic show.
